Wage & Hour
Wage & Hour programs ensure that West Virginia workers receive all wages and fringe benefits due them for the hours they work. The laws that protect these rights and wages also provide a level playing field among the state businesses and contractors who must follow these rules.
Various other Wage & Hour programs protect the rights of children through enforcement of Child Labor laws, they ensure that state construction workers are paid the current prevailing wages, and that all employees at job sites are legally registered to work in WV.
To ensure compliance, our inspectors travel to construction sites throughout the state ensuring that contractors are licensed, properly registered and are in compliance with all Labor laws.
Wage & Hour programs touch the lives of all West Virginian’s by insuring their rights and protection under the law.
